TaoBao - A 65Daigou Ship-For-Me Guide

In my third installment of reviews on independent Taobao freight forwarders, i will be reviewing the 65Daigou Ship-For-You sea freight service. According to their website, 65Daigou is one of the pioneer companies in Singapore providing specialized purchasing, logistics and international shipping services.

Note: 65Daigou is now known as Ezbuy.

1) Register a 65Daigou Account

The first step is to create a 65Daigou account. Simply click "Register" and proceed to fill up the email address, password and user id field.

2) Add Your Unique PRC Address to Taobao

When you create your 65Daigou account, you will be given a PRC address. This address is unique to your account. It will also be the address that you need to setup in Taobao. Do note that you will be given a Guangzhou and Shanghai address. These are two different warehouses that belongs to 65Daigou, choose either one and make sure you send your Taobao purchases to the correct warehouse.

For my purchases, i choose to use the Guangzhou warehouse. This is because alot of the Taobao sellers i buy from are based in Guangzhou as well.

* Please refer to this link to setup the address in Taobao

3) Proceed to Purchase

Proceed to buy from Taobao. When checking out, remember to select the "New" address that you had created in Step 1. This is important as it will instruct the seller to send your purchases to the selected 65Daigou warehouse in either Shanghai or Guangzhou.

4) Submit an Order

Once your orders have been placed, sit back and wait for the seller(s) to post. When you have been notified that an item has been sent, login to 65Daigou, click on "Ship-For-Me" -> "Forwarding Orders" -> "Submit New Order".

Here, you can specify the warehouse that should be expecting your goods. Additionally, you can add courier company and tracking number. This information will be used by 65Daigou to facilitate a smooth receipt of your packages.

5) Declare the Value

When all purchases have arrived at the designated warehouse, make a declaration of the value of each package. This is for the purpose of GST* and insurance calculations.

Based on my experience, there was a slight delay between arrival of goods at warehouse and updates on the website. My purchased had been received on a Saturday morning. However, it was only updated on the 65Daigou on a monday.

*Do note that if the total value of your package(s) is more than $400 SGD, you will be required by law to pay 7% GST.

6) Self Collect or Arrange Delivery

65Daigou gives you the option to select self-collection or home delivery. The self-collection can be made at any one the following self-collection points in Singapore.

For the purpose of my review, i have selected the Home Delivery option. This will incurr an additional charge - in my case, it costs me S$8.00.

Delivery Rates:
Flat rate S$5 - for parcels with a total weight less than 8KG

Flat rate S$8 - for parcels with a total weight equal to or more than 8KG

Deliver or Self-Collect

- Insurance (Optional): The charge is 3% of the declared value of the goods and international shipping fee. If the parcel is lost, you will be 100% compensated, capped at S$2000.

7) Pay for Shipment to Singapore

The Rates for the Ship-For-You service is as follows:

$1.70 per 500g (For first 0-30KG). That comes up to $3.40 per 1KG.

So a rough estimate of a 10KG* consolidated package would cost $34

*Do note that the quoted rates are rounded up to the nearest 500g. i.e, 10.2 KG would be rounded up to 10.5 KG and you would be charged $35.7.

Hi, you might have been mistaken. Seems like they have a 4-8% agent fee for buy-for-me service.

  2. Hi,

Yup, i used the Ship-For-Me service, this service does not include the agent fee - which works for me.

You can check out the differences between both the services here:

  3. Hi thankyou for your writeup,

I use the 65daigou ship for me service too.

I recently ordered something from Taobao and the seller sent out the ordered item in 2 separate packages although only a single item was selected. After waiting a few days I decided to ask the seller. The seller said that he sent out the goods and gave me 2 new tracking numbers and even provide tracking information reassured me that goods were received. Furthermore the tracking number recorded on Taobao site about the item was not correct as the seller said the courier company has reassign a tracking number. I too went to the courier company website and verified that the 2 packages was delivered and signed for.

In this case how should I handle the case?/ I filled the enquiry forms and also sent emails to them about the details but they have yet to get back to me after 2 days. The next step would be to call them to ask them verbally.

Now I got a NOT-ARRIVED item showing in the 65daigou website, although apparently the goods is already somewhere in the warehouse.

In my case although I have 1 order of 1 item with a taobao seller but there were 2 packages being sent, I was thinking why not submit 2 new shipping orders to 65daigou, with the same taobao transaction number but with different courier tracking number. In this way it would be easier for them to match the package to my account. And then after the goods are located and assigned to my account I can delete the first order. What do you think?

I wonder if it is good practice to buy ONE item a corresponding courier/ONE single tracking number for that item. I think my case was complicated. Hope others find my experience helpful.

Do you have any experience or other ideas to share?

    KC.

    1. Hi KC,

Don't worry about it. A similar situation has happened to me before.

For my case, my seller forgot to ship an item to me, which he subsequently did. Long story short, i email the good folks at 65Daigou. And here is their reply:

"Dear customer, Yes, we have received this parcel but was unable to tag to your account. The reasons could be as follow:
      1) Seller did not indicate your unique ID "XVC2"
      2) There was no order submitted from your account Do note to inform your seller(s) that they need to indicate your unique code clearly so that we can tag the items received to your account moving forward. You may also like to take note to update your account with the order and tracking number as well. The relevant department will update your account accordingly. Thank you.
      "

In the end, they managed to tag my 'lost' package that was sitting in their warehouse onto my account and i received it in good order.

I would suggest to drop them an email (service@65daigou.com) and indicate your tracking number. They will help you with your problem!

      Rgds,
      Ivan

  4. Hi, you mentioned the 3% additional topup for credit card usage. is this on top of the 3% that the credit card companies will charge on exchange rate? (65DG sucks then, seems like so many hidden costs all over the place!!!)

    1. Hey Ling,

The bank/atm transfers would be without any additional charge and i usually will choose this method - just to save on the credit card fees. :)

  5. No responsibility agent

    1) If you have problem with the service "CASETRUST" cannot help you.

    2) They will ask you to email the customer service for any complaint even the goods already have problem during collection. They suppose to reply in 3day but normally will take 1 week.

    3) 65daigou job is to collect and past it to you. That mean they don't be bother to check whether the goods is in correct order even is off the spec. Below is a reply I got.

we have checked with the seller on the issue who informed us that the chair is made by hands, so the difference at 1~3cm (Actually is 2-3cm for all side of the chair. They just less off 1 cm for the sponge protection) is a challenge to be avoided. And there is also measurements error due to different measuring methods as per seller, but he confirmed that the items you recieved is correct.

Clearly the overall spec already have problem just by a look. Do you still want to trust them
